Team Cunningham takes four-man bobsled win in USA Bobsled National Team Trials

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 20, 2017)- Two-time Olympian Nick Cunningham (Monterey, Calif.) teamed with Chris Kinney (Stockbridge, Ga.), Ryan Bailey (Salem, Ore.) and Sam Michener (Gresham, Ore.) to win the four-man USA Bobsled National Team Trials race this morning in Lake Placid. The competition concludes the 2017-2018 USA Bobsled & Skeleton National Team Trials, and the men’s bobsled national team is expected to be announced tomorrow.

Daly, O'Shea on top as 2017-2018 USA Skeleton National Team Trials conclude in Lake Placid

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 17, 2017)- John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Annie O’Shea (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) won the fourth and final USA Skeleton National Team Trials competition at Mount Van Hoevenberg tonight to conclude the race series.

Uhlaender and Daly return to home ice to win third USA Skeleton National Team Trials race

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (October 16, 2017)- Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) and John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.) returned to home ice to take the first of two Lake Placid USA Skeleton National Team Trials races. The team completed its first two races in Calgary, Canada last week, where Uhlaender and Kendall Wesenberg (Modesto, Calif.) won a competition apiece on the women’s side and Greg West (Springfield, Mo.) took both men’s races.

Reinbolt repeat winner of USA Women's Bobsled National Team Trials to earn driver's seat of USA-3

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2017)- Brittany Reinbolt (Searcy, Ark.) teamed with Lolo Jones (Des Moines, Iowa) to secure her second USA Women’s Bobsled National Team Trials win at Mount Van Hoevenberg today, earning her the driver’s seat of USA-3. Olympic medalists Elana Meyers Taylor (Douglasville, Ga.) and Jamie Greubel Poser (Newtown, Pa.) earned byes onto the team thanks to World Championship medal performances last season, and Reinbolt secured her spot as the third and final pilot by sweeping trials. The full roster for the USA Women’s Bobsled National Team will be named at 7 p.m. EST tonight.

Bascue, Reinbolt victorious in first USA Bobsled National Team Trials races

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 13, 2017)- Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.) and Brittany Reinbolt (Searcy, Ark.) piloted their way to victory in the first races of the 2017-2018 USA Bobsled National Team Trials on Friday morning. Bascue, racing with Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.), threw down the fastest downtime in the second heat to edge Justin Olsen (San Antonio, Texas) for the win, while Reinbolt and Lauren Gibbs (Los Angeles, Calif.) strung together the fastest downtime of each heat of the women’s race for a commanding victory.

West wins second consecutive USA Skeleton National Team Trials mens competition Wesenberg takes womens race

CALGARY, Canada (Oct. 8, 2017)- Greg West (Springfield, Mo.) and Kendall Wesenberg (Modesto, Calif.) emerged victorious on the second day of USA Skeleton National Team Trials in Calgary. The win marks West’s second in two days, while Wesenberg picked up her first of the 2017-2018 season after taking second in yesterday’s competition.
