Uhlaender and West win first USA Skeleton National Team Trials races

CALGARY, Canada (Oct. 7, 2017)- Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) and Greg West (Springfield, Mo.) won tonight’s first of four USA Skeleton National Team Trials races to make a strong bid for a spot on the World Cup squad.

USA Bobsled and Skeleton announces changes to team trials schedule, live stream information

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 6, 2017)- USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) today announced that Sunday’s USA Bobsled National Team Trials race will be postponed due to warm weather conditions in Lake Placid, N.Y. USA Skeleton National Team Trials, which are scheduled for Oct. 7 and 8 in Calgary, Canada, retain their original schedules.

USA Bobsled and Skeleton National Team Trials to begin October 7

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2017)- USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) National Team Trials are set to begin on Oct. 7 when skeleton athletes, who are currently training in Calgary, Canada, will compete in the first of four races. Calgary will host the first two skeleton races before athletes travel back to Lake Placid, N.Y. to join bobsled on home ice for their final two competitions. Bobsled, meanwhile, will race Oct. 8 and 14 in Lake Placid.

Summer Series: Getting to know Brittany Reinbolt

A Searcy, Ark. native, Brittany Reinbolt grew up playing soccer and running track. The 2016-2017 season was her first on the World Cup team as a bobsled pilot, and she finished the season ranked ninth in the overall rankings. Her season was highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the Lake Placid race.

Summer Series: Getting to know Chris Kinney

In his first year on the national team, push athlete Chris Kinney raced primarily with pilot Codie Bascue before competing with two-time Olympian Nick Cunningham in Kinney’s first World Championships. Heading into his first Olympic season, Kinney is already off to a strong start after taking fifth at the USA Bobsled National Push Championships in July.

Kongela, Ro take 2017 USA Skeleton National Push Championship titles

CALGARY, CANADA (September 11, 2017)- Dakarai Kongela (Suquamish, Wash.) and Mystique Ro (Nokesville, Va.) earned the 2017 USA Skeleton National Push Championship titles in the men’s and women’s fields, respectively, Monday evening in Calgary’s Indoor Ice House.

National team skeleton athlete Meg Henry has been competing since 2010 after graduating from American University, where she played field hockey with skeleton teammate Savannah Graybill. Henry raced on the Intercontinental Cup Circuit this season, where she won three medals, including the United States’ first international medal of the 2016-2017 season.
