Heading into her third season competing as a push athlete, Connecticut native Bonnie Kilis has primarily raced on the North American Cup circuit, where she has won six medals. She also made two World Cup appearances in the 2015-2016 season with current National Team pilot Brittany Reinbolt.

WESTFIELD, MASS. (July 19, 2017)- USA Bobsled & Skeleton athletes and staff traveled to Westfield, Mass. on July 13 to visit USABS partner Advance Manufacturing, which builds four-man bobsled runners for the federation.

Lake Placid set to host 2021 IBSF World Championships

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (July 18, 2017)- New York governor Andrew Cuomo announced Sunday that Lake Placid will host the 2021 International Bobsled and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Championships. The announcement came after Lake Placid was selected at the IBSF Congress in Park City, Utah. In a June 28 vote, Lake Placid beat out St. Moritz, Switzerland for the right to host the competition.

USABS heads to Tennessee for next summer combine

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. (July 17, 2017)- With just four combines remaining this summer, USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) next heads to Johnson City, Tenn. and the East Tennessee State University Olympic Training Site. The university, which already hosts several bobsled and skeleton athletes, is set to hold the next combine of the summer on July 19.

Summer Series: Getting to know Kyle Brown

A Concord, N.H. native, Kyle Brown has been competing in skeleton for four years, three of which he has been on the National Team. This past year, he was named to the Intercontinental Cup Circuit (ICC), but injured his hamstring early on and spent the first half rehabilitating before returning to ICC and North American Cup competition in January. He has also seen World Cup and World Championships action, racing at the highest level in both the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons and competing in the 2016 World Championships.

Summer Series: Getting to know John Daly

Two-time Olympian John Daly has been competing in skeleton since 2001 after he switched over from the USA Luge program. He returned to the sport this year following a two-year hiatus after the Sochi Games. This season, he earned a spot on the World Championship team after racing on every development circuit throughout January and February.

SPIRE Institute in Ohio set for next USABS summer combine

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (July 1, 2017)- Nine USA Bobsled & Skeleton (USABS) athletes were honored at the annual USABS awards banquet on July 1 at the Lake Placid Olympic Conference Center, capping the weeklong 2017 National Team Camp.

Legendary bobsledder Steven Holcomb enters USABS Hall of Fame

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (July 1, 2017)- Steven Holcomb’s (Park City, Utah) life, legacy and career were cemented once again into USA Bobsled & Skeleton’s (USABS) history Saturday evening, as the three-time Olympic medalist was inducted as the only member of the sixth class of the federation’s Hall of Fame. Holcomb is the first inductee to have the Hall of Fame’s 10-year clause waived.

Summer Series: Getting to know Lou Moreira

A Somerville, Mass. native, Lou Moreira began bobsledding in 2015 after his good friend and Olympic medalist Steven Langton recruited him to the sport. Moreira earned his first national team berth this past season, primarily pushing in the four-man event for pilot Justin Olsen.
