Altenberg, Germany kicks off second half of 2017-2018 World Cup tour

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan. 3, 2018)- After earning 12 medals in the first five races of the 2017-2018 World Cup season, the USA Bobsled & Skeleton National Team will kick off the final leg of the tour leading up to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games on the difficult Altenberg track.

Garbett, Koplin post top six finishes to lead Team USA in La Plagne bobsled and skeleton European Cup

LA PLAGNE, France (Dec. 17, 2017)- Stephen Garbett (Parker, Colo.) recorded his best finish of the season, sixth, in the opening men’s race to lead USA Skeleton in the La Plagne European Cup (EC). For the first time this season, Team USA had a bobsled racing in the EC as well, as Kristi Koplin (Park City, Utah) teamed with rookie Kyle Plante (Colonie, N.Y.) for fifth in the women’s competition. Kellie Delka (Collinsville, Texas) led the women’s skeleton results with a ninth place finish.

Bascue, Weinstock, Langton and McGuffie finish 11th in Igls four-man World Cup

IGLS, Austria (Dec. 16, 2017)- Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.) teamed with Evan Weinstock (Las Vegas, Nev.), Steve Langton (Melrose, Mass.) and Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas) for 11th place in the Igls four-man bobsled World Cup this morning, finishing just 0.04 seconds from the top-10.

WINTERBERG, GERMANY (Dec. 10, 2017)- Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.) teamed with Nate Weber (Pueblo West, Colo.), Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.) and Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas) to lead the Americans in this morning’s four-man bobsled World Cup in Winterberg with an 11th place finish. Snow, which impacted races starting Friday, continued to fall intermittently today, creating varying conditions for the sleds throughout.
