Antoine ninth in final World Cup race before Olympic Games

Koenigssee, Germany (Jan. 19, 2018)- Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) once again led Team USA as the top U.S. athlete after finishing ninth in the men’s skeleton World Cup finale in Koenigssee this morning. Antoine has been the top American male in all eight World Cup races of the 2017-2018 season.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Jan. 12, 2018)- Hunter Church (Cadyville, N.Y.) and his team of Brent Fogt (Alpine, Utah), Lou Moreira (Somerville, Mass.) and Sam Michener (Gresham, Ore.) showed poise under pressure Sunday morning and won the final North American Cup (NAC) four-man race to help Team USA qualify its third four-man sled for the upcoming 2018 Olympic Winter Games. In all, USA Bobsled collected 11 medals in six races and nabbed the tour’s overall two-man title to finish out the 2017-2018 NAC season on a high note.

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 13., 2018)- Annie O’Shea (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) and Nathan Crumpton (Park City, Utah) led Team USA in this week’s Intercontinental Cup Circuit (ICC) races, and Stephen Garbett (Parker, Colo.) and Samantha Culiver (Scottsdale, Ariz.) were the top Americans in the European Cup (EC) race. Both tours were competing on the harrowing Altenberg track.

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (Jan 13., 2018)- Justin Olsen (San Antonio, Texas) and Evan Weinstock (Las Vegas, Nev.) were Team USA’s top finishers in the two-man bobsled World Cup in St. Moritz Saturday morning, the final two-man race before the 2018 U.S. Olympic Men’s Bobsled Team is named on Monday.

USA Skeleton takes eight medals, two overall titles to round out 2017-2018 North American Cup season

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (Jan. 12, 2018)- Austin Florian (Southington, Conn.) and Kelly Curtis (Princeton, N.J.) each took home overall North American Cup (NAC) skeleton titles after combining for two golds and two silvers in the tour finale in Lake Placid. Team USA dominated the podium, taking two medals in each of the four races, led by Florian, Curtis, Kristen Hurley (Columbia, Conn.) and Andrew Blaser (Meridian, Idaho), all of whom medaled twice.
