ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (Jan 12., 2018)- Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) once again led Team USA, finishing 11th today in the men’s skeleton World Cup race on the world’s only all-natural track in St. Moritz.

Uhlaender 10th in St. Moritz women's skeleton World Cup

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (Jan 12., 2018)- Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) was the top American finisher in 10th in this morning’s women’s skeleton World Cup on the all-natural track in St. Moritz. Today’s races are the final chance for skeleton athletes to accumulate points towards Olympic qualification. Nation quotas will be officially announced by the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation on Sunday, and the 2018 U.S. Olympic Skeleton Team will be selected today following the men’s skeleton race.

MORITZ, Switzerland (Jan. 11, 2018)- The final World Cup race before USA Bobsled & Skeleton nominates athletes for the 2018 Olympic Team will take place in St. Moritz, Switzerland, the only natural ice track in the world, this weekend. Team USA’s performances are crucial; several nations, including the U.S., are battling it out for the third quota spot at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games next month in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Team Bascue finishes ninth in four-man event to conclude Altenberg World Cup

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 7., 2018)- Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.), teaming with Nate Weber (Pueblo West, Colo.), Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.) and Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas), matched his best-career Altenberg finish in today’s four-man bobsled World Cup after finishing ninth.

Bascue and Valdes place 18th in Altenberg two-man World Cup

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 6., 2018)- Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.) teamed with Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.) for 18th place as the lone USA sled in today’s men’s two-man bobsled World Cup in Altenberg. This was only the third time sliding the challenging German track in Bascue’s career.

Olsen, Langton, Fogt and Weinstock take silver in Igls European Cup four-man bobsled

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 6., 2018)- Justin Olsen (San Antonio, Texas), Steve Langton (Melrose, Mass.), Chris Fogt (Alpine, Utah) and Evan Weinstock (Las Vegas, Nev.) began the new year on the podium, earning the silver medal in the Igls European Cup four-man bobsled race this morning.

Greubel Poser and Evans start new year with silver medal in Altenberg

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 6., 2018)- Olympic bronze medal teammates Jamie Greubel Poser (Newtown, Pa.) and Aja Evans (Chicago, Ill.) threaded together two competitive runs on the demanding Altenberg track in Germany to claim the silver medal in this morning’s women’s bobsled World Cup race. This is Greubel Poser’s third medal in six races this season and Evans’ second.

Antoine 13th in Altenberg men's skeleton World Cup

ALTENBERG, Germany (Jan 5., 2018)- Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) was once again the top American men’s skeleton finisher after finishing 13th on the harrowing Altenberg track in Germany this morning. Antoine made a big change going into the second half of the season by using a new sled, which is a daunting move on a track as notoriously difficult as Altenberg.

Uhlaender, Daly combine for four medals in St. Moritz Intercontinental Cup

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (Jan. 5, 2018)- Three-time Olympian Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) and two-time Olympian John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.) earned two medals apiece in this week’s Intercontinental Cup Circuit (ICC) races in St. Moritz, Switzerland on the only natural ice track in the world. Uhlaender took silver in the first race before winning the second, while Daly nabbed silver and bronze for Team USA.
