
There's a new champ in town as C-Town/GTS/Beus Excavation/Action Garage Door defeated Above All Landscaping 23-22 in the Championship Game of the 2015 ASA/USA Men's Class B Slow Pitch National Championship the Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball announced today. C-Town went undefeated throughout the tournament en route to the title as both teams utilized all six of their allowed long balls in the close fought game.

C-Town got on top early, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the first inning with help from a three-run homer by Nick Utley. Two more home runs from Chris Hoshaw and Corey Gilbert gave C-Town a 10-1 lead after two innings. Above All Landscaping would close the lead in the top of the third inning as a three-run blast from Tom Paturzo scored the second, third and fourth run of the inning to cut C-Town's lead in half.
The game would get interesting in the fourth inning as Above All Landscaping put five runs on the board to bring them within one run, but C-Town responded with a three-run home run from Corey Gilbert to extend their lead by four. The game would come down to the seventh inning as Above All Landscape mounted a last-inning rally, but they came up one run short as C-Town claimed the Championship.
