#GivingTuesday is a nationwide day of charitable giving celebrated on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
At USA Luge we're dedicating #GivingTuesday to raising funds to buy sleds for our development team.
USA Luge is building its fleet of sleds for the development team. We need your help to buy the safest sleds available. Each sled costs about $2,000. By donating today, you not only help us keep our athletes safe, but also help keep the cost of entry to the sport down since athletes won’t have to buy their own sleds.
Currently athletes on the development team share sleds or purchase their own. Many sleds are nearing the end of their lifespan and it’s vital we replenish old sleds with new ones. Luge sleds uniform so that coaches know the technology they’re working with. This helps keep the sleds safe, thereby making them the best tools to learn the sport on.
