Kaylee Dominguez

Kaylee Dominguez is an 8-year-old judoka from Union City, New Jersey.  She has a twin sister named Kiara and a 6-year-old brother named Justin.  She is a 3rd grader at a New Jersey state national Blue Ribbon School, Woodrow Wilson.

Kaylee started practicing judo three years ago at the early age of five.  She currently trains in North Bergen at Tech Judo under the guidance of internationally acclaimed Sensei Clyde Worthen.

At such a young age, she already has many valuable accomplishments under her belt.  She has won Gold at Pedro’s Challenge 3 years in a row since 2012.  In 2013, she won Gold at the Junior Nationals, Junior U.S. Open, Morris Cup, and The N.J. State Championships.  This year, she also took Gold at Am-Can International Judo Challenge and the Junior U.S. Open.

Kaylee trains 5 days a week and has made judo the love of her life.  She has a heart of a lion.  Her passion, dedication and discipline for the sport at such an early age is truly admirable.  Kaylee would like to thank everyone who supports her.

It is an honor to have been chosen to represent USA Judo for Athlete of the Month.  She will continue to train hard and hopes to one day become a Judo Olympic Champion.
