Team USA amassed five medals Monday night at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium, including gold-medal performances by Rebecca Meyers, Brad Snyder and Michelle Konkoly. 7-a-Side Soccer
Team USA faced off against Argentina today. Both Kevin Hensley and Seth Jahn notched a goal a piece, but Team USA still came up short, losing 3-2. The team will face Ireland on Sept. 14 to determine 7th and 8th place finishes. MORE.
Archery
Samantha Tucker and Kevin Polish took center stage this morning as first-time Paralympians competing together in the compound open mixed team event. The 9th seeded U.S. duo faced 8th seeded Korea in their first match. MORE.
Equestrian athletes contested the 1A division today in Rio. Margaret "Gigi" McIntosh made her Paralympic Team and major championship debut at Deodoro Olympic Equestrian Center with her aptly named mare Rio Rio. The pair acquitted themselves well, finishing on a 68.087% for 19th place. Roxanne Trunnell also made her Paralympic debut representing the United States as an Individual with Rachel Zent and Julia Handt's Royal Dancer. The 2014 World Equestrian Games team member scored a 69.348% for 14th place. MORE.
Men's Goalball
Last night, U.S. Men’s Goalball secured a spot in the quarterfinals after beating Finland, the defending Paralympic champions, 6-2. Tonight’s game against Turkey was an opportunity to sweeten their ranking position but Team USA came up short. The U.S. has emerged from a difficult preliminary schedule with a 2-2 record, losing 8-7 to Lithuania and 6-3 to Turkey. MORE.

Team USA scored solid results on the first day of racing at the Rio 2016 Paralympic sailing competition, with all three American boats in a top-six position in their fleets. The 80 international competitors were treated to bright sunshine, flat water and a moderate breeze varying from 5-12 knots for most of the day. MORE.
In the fourth meeting of the teams this year, the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team topped the U.S. Paralympic Women’s Sitting Volleyball Team, winning 25-17, 14-25, 14-25, 28-26, 15-13 in a thrilling Paralympic pool play match that felt more like a gold medal final at times. MORE.
Women's Wheelchair Basketball
The U.S. Women’s Team came out of the first half of the Paralympic Games Tournament with an unblemished record and the No. 1 seed following its defeat of Algeria, 65-15, in the Rio Olympic Arena this morning. Team USA will start in the quarterfinals on Tuesday against host country Brazil, also in Rio Olympic Arena. MORE.

The United States and Great Britain closed out the Rio Paralympic Games’ pool play tournament with an intense game, where the United States pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 65-48 victory. The U.S. concluded pool play tournament with a perfect 5-0 record. MORE.
Wheelchair Fencing
Joey Brinson competed in the category B men’s sabre today – facing four different competitors in pool play. Brinson battled against tough competitors, each of whom are previous Paralympic medalists. He fell in each of the bouts, finishing 5-1, 5-1, 5-1 and 5-2. MORE.
