Accepting Applications for Volunteer Service on U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee Board of Directors
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Nominating and Governance Committee is accepting applications as part of the process to recommend one (1) Independent Director candidate for the USOPC Board of Director. Independent candidates are sought from the Olympic and Paralympic community and the general public.
Applicants must be persons of the highest personal and professional integrity who have demonstrated exceptional ability and judgment and who will be most effective, in conjunction with other members of the Board, in collectively serving the long-term interests of the USOPC and our athletes.

Applicants must meet the specific requirements for independence applicable to Independent Directors who serve on the USOPC board of Directors. The requirements are set out in Section 3.4 of the USOPC bylaws.
Further qualifications to serve on the Board of Directors or a Committee are set out in Section 3.7 of the USOPC bylaws, also available at TeamUSA.org. Applicants will be required to complete a thorough background check, a conflict of interest questionnaire, and complete athlete safety education as a component of the formal process. After reviewing the applications, the Nominating and Governance Committee may conduct in-person interviews with finalists.
