COMPETITION OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Colombian Weightlifting Federation invited USA Weightlifting to participate in the 2021 Colombia Open for the World and Pan American Cup SUB15 and SUB17, which will be held ONLINE February 22-28, 2021. 

Weight Categories 

Men: 49kg, 55kg, 61kg, 67kg, 73kg, 81kg, 89kg, 96kg, 102kg, +102kg

Women: 40kg, 45kg, 49kg, 55kg, 59kg, 64kg, 71kg, 76kg, 81kg, +81kg

Due to the short timeframe of this opportunity, athletes wishing to compete must express interest by 5PM Mountain time on Friday, January 29, at the expression of interest form below. Interested athletes must have competed at the Online 2020 American Open Finals, Youth National Championships, National Championships. 

Note: this competition is for athletes born January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2008. 

Please note athletes must meet all requirements expressed in the USA Weightlifting Selection Procedures, with particular attention paid to the USADA Lift Clean RTP requirement and minimum performance requirements needed to represent the USA on the international stage.

Those athletes in each contested weight category with the highest NRS score will be given the opportunity to attend.

Online 2020 American Open Final

Online 2020 Youth National Championships

Online 2020 National Championships
