USA Weightlifting has been invited to attend the Roma 2020 World Cup from January 27-31, 2020. The event is approved by the IWF as an Olympic qualification event in the silver category.
Weight Categories to be contested: ALL
*Please note: each federation is allowed a maximum of 14 athletes, 10 per gender and 2 reserves. (For example, USA Weightlifting can send 10 women and 4 men or vice versa)
Athletes wishing to participate must understand this is a self-funded opportunity.
Hotel: Isola Sacra Rome Airport (3 night minimum stay)
Venue: Pala Pellicone, Rome
Athletes will be responsible for all costs, including entry fee of €100 (~$115 USD), Anti-Doping fee ($30 USD), airfare, lodging & food:
Single room: €120 (~$132 USD/night)
Double room: €100 (~$110 USD/night)
Triple room: €95 (~$105 USD/night)
Please note athletes must meet all requirements expressed in the USA Weightlifting Selection Procedures, with particular attention paid to the USADA Lift Clean RTP requirement and minimum performance requirements needed to represent the USA on the international stage.

Per the 2018-2020 ROBI Selection Procedures, those athletes in each contested weight category with the highest ROBI score will be given the opportunity to attend, using totals achieved at National or International Competition in the previous six months to the final qualification event.
