Sadé Smith

Sadé is a sophomore of the NCAA Division II Women’s Triathlon team of Daemen College in Amherst, NY.  As a Presidential Scholar in an accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Sadé excels both inside and outside the classroom, balancing the demands of the rigors of both advanced academics and NCAA triathlon.  Maintaining a 4.0 and being recognized as a Scholar-All American by the College Triathlon Coaches Association, Sadé is dedicated to being a voice to ensuring equitable access and championing social justice in the multisport community.  Using this national platform, Sadé has been interviewed and featured in various national publications along with presenting to underserved and underrepresented communities to share her journey and raise awareness about multisport. In addition to being on the  USA Triathlon Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access Advisory Council, Sadé is a USAT content blog writer, featuring timely news on NCAA Women’s Triathlon and DEIA.  Nationally and locally, Sadé desires to continue to be a catalyst for change and partners with local and national organizations to raise awareness about equitable access and participation in the sport
