ELIGIBLE ATHLETES
The top two finishers in each of the junior elite divisions at the Team Trials will be eligible to participate in Santa Cruz. As Nationals are quickly approaching it is important to make sure your passport is up to date. If your passport is not valid at the team trials you will not be eligible to compete in the Jr. PKF or Jr. Worlds. All athletes must present a current US Passport in order to be weighed in and compete in an Elite/Team Trial division. Athletes who cannot provide a current US Passport at the time of weigh-in will not be eligible to compete in an Elite/Team Trial division and will no longer be eligible to try out for the Junior National Team. (No Exceptions)
IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION
If you intend on participating in this years Jr. Team Trials please thoroughly read all of the below information regarding Visas and required vaccinations. If you are a U.S. citizen seeking to enter Bolivia as a tourist, you must have an entry visa. You can apply for a Bolivian tourist visa by mail or in person at Bolivian consulates in the U.S., as well as at Bolivian ports of entry, such as at Bolivia’s international airports and at land border crossings. Bolivian tourist visas are valid for five years from the date of issuance and allow the bearer to enter the country three times in a year for a cumulative stay of not more than ninety days. The tourist visa costs $135.00.
To apply for a Bolivian tourist visa by mail or in person at Bolivian consulates in the U.S., you may pay the $135.00 fee in cash, by deposit to the Bolivian Consulate’s bank account, or by money order. In addition to the $135.00 visa fee, you must present a visa application form with a 4cm x 4cm color photograph, a passport with a validity of not less than 6 months, evidence of a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation in Spanish, proof of economic solvency (credit card, cash, or a current bank statement), and an International Vaccination Certificate for yellow fever.
This years Pan American Championships are only 5 weeks after nationals. It is highly recommended that you have all of the Bolivian visa requirements complete before participating in the team trials.
