I chose Harvard because of its unrivaled academics, progressive team atmosphere and supportive coaching staff. Additionally, Harvard’s ability to support my unique learning needs through the Accessible Education Office was unparalleled. Being a student-athlete at Harvard has been particularly helpful in learning time management skills.

Collegiate competition taught me valuable lessons about racing at a higher level. Having supportive teammates and coaching staff has allowed me to preserve a healthy mentality through competition, never feeling too high or too low about outcomes in the pool.

Attending a college like Harvard creates opportunities that could not occur at any other school.  The diversity of the student population allows for exposure to a variety of opinions and ideas which makes for a more thorough understanding of people, thoughts and ideas that I can carry forward into my life beyond college.
