Lindsey Vonn's Last Olympic Downhill Ends In Bronze
Lindsey Vonn wanted to win the Olympic downhill for her grandfather, who passed away several months ago. Though gold was just beyond her reach, she nabbed bronze, surely making her grandfather -- and all Americans -- proud.

Mirai Nagasu's... Quadruple Axel?!
Figure skater Mirai Nagasu has become famous for the triple axel in her arsenal; during the team event, she became the third woman ever to land the jump in Olympic competition. In her short program, she couldn't land the jump cleanly... because she overrotated it. Could the unheard of quadruple axel be in her future?!

#USAvsCZE Shootout Stress
Though the U.S. men's hockey team fell to the Czech Republic in its quarterfinal matchup, Team USA hung tough with one of the tournament's top seeds. Regulation and overtime weren't enough, and a shootout was needed to decide the victor. The Internet? STRESSED.
SHOOTOUT TIME.

Good As Gold
Five-time Olympian Kikkan Randall and two-time Olympian Jessie Diggins can now add Olympic gold medalist to their long list of accolades. The cross-country skiiers won the first women's cross-country skiing medal in Team USA history when Diggins crossed the finish line ahead of Sweden and Norway. Diggins and Randall's performance also broke a 42-year drought for Team USA in the sport. And was the first gold for the country by either gender. It's safe to say Diggins and Randall were proud of their record-breaking performance, and so was Twitter.Pure adrenaline for @jessdiggs & @kikkanimal after winning @TeamUSA's first cross-country skiing #gold medal! https://t.co/ijxwbhtcCo pic.twitter.com/alnMNQOOvI
