On Day 9, Team USA captured another medal at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. Freestyle skier Nick Goepper won his second-career Olympic medal in the slopestyle. Four years after winning bronze in the event, Goepper returned to the podium -- this time for silver. In long track speedskating, Brittany Bowe narrowly missed the podium in the women's 500-meter and Ted Ligety fell short of defending his Olympic giant slalom title. At the other arenas around Gangneung, the men's curling team fought through two tough matches, but couldn't come out on top. Back in the mountains of PyeongChang, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing continued with their events while bobsled began.
