Gwen Jorgensen, the top women’s triathlete in the world, will go after her 11th consecutive win Saturday in the World Triathlon Series in Hamburg, Germany. The 2012 Olympian’s win streak of 10 races is already a record.

Races in Germany will be held on a shorter sprint course as opposed to the traditional Olympic-distance course.

Joining Jorgensen in the women’s race are Katie Zaferes and Sarah True. The United States has already swept the World Triathlon Series podium twice this season, an achievement never previously done in the same season. Jorgensen, Zaferes and True hold three of the first four starting positions in the race. Andrea Hewitt of New Zealand is No. 3.

Also in the women’s race are No. 14 Renee Tomlin, No. 15 Kirsten Kasper and No. 25 Kaitlin Donner.

Jorgensen leads the women’s world rankings with 4,000 points, and Zaferes is second with 3,645 points. No other athlete has reached 3,000 points.

The men’s race takes place after the women wrap up on Saturday. Ben Kanute leads the U.S. men with the 25th starting position. Joining him are No. 46 Sean Jefferson, No. 58 Eric Lagerstrom and No. 63 Tommy Zaferes.

The event will include the mixed relay world championships Sunday.
