Ashinger, Dooley, Zeng and 5-woman rhythmic group selected for U.S. Olympic Team; U.S. titles in acrobatic and rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline/tumbling determined at 2016 USA Gymnastics Championships At the conclusion of the USA Gymnastics Championships at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., USA Gymnastics announced the first members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team for gymnastics, pending approval by the United States Olympic Committee, for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Feeley, Zeng win U.S. rhythmic event titles at 2016 USA Gymnastics Championships Camilla Feeley of Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, and Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won the U.S. clubs and ribbon titles, respectively, at the USA Gymnastics Championships at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. Senior elite competition wraps up tomorrow with the finals for the rhythmic gymnastics all-around; men’s and women’s trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling; and acrobatic gymnastics at 6 p.m. The gymnasts who will represent the USA at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in rhythmic gymnastics (individual and group) and men’s and women’s trampoline will be determined Sunday night.

Zeng wins U.S. hoop, ball titles at 2016 USA Gymnastics Championships Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won both the U.S. hoop and ball titles on the first night of senior competition at the USA Gymnastics Championships at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. Competition continues tomorrow with the two event finals for senior rhythmic gymnastics and the preliminary rounds for men’s and women’s trampoline at 6 p.m. The 2016 USA Gymnastics Championships is the Olympic selection event for rhythmic gymnastics and men’s and women’s trampoline for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
