U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics Update
Alyssa Baumann of Plano, Texas/WOGA, has withdrawn from the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics. Baumann injured her left elbow while training on the uneven bars on June 29. Based on early evaluations, she has torn several ligaments and muscles. Baumann is seeing her local physicians to determine the best course of treatment, but the injury precludes her from competing in the Trials.

Biles wins fourth straight U.S. all-around title at 2016 P&G Championships
Three-time World all-around champion Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, became the first woman since 1974 to win four consecutive senior women’s all-around titles at the 2016 P&G Gymnastics Championships at the Saint Louis (Mo.) University’s Chaifetz Arena. Performances at the P&G Championships determined the 15 women who will compete at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics in San Jose, Calif.

Leyva, Modi, Whittenburg named replacement athletes for 2016 U.S. Olympic Men's Gymnastics Team; OU’s Williams tabbed as head coach
USA Gymnastics today announced that Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton (Universal Gymnastics), Akash Modi of Morganville, N.J./Stanford University, and Donnell Whittenburg, Baltimore, Md./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center), are the replacement athletes for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Men's Gymnastics Team. Mark Williams, head coach for the University of Oklahoma’s men’s gymnastics program, was named head coach for the 2016 squad.

Mikulak wins all-around at 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials; U.S. Olympic Men’s Gymnastics Team named in St. Louis
Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center), earned a berth to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after posting the highest four-day all-around total, a 362.750, at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Saint Louis (Mo.) University’s Chaifetz Arena. The all-around standings include scores from the two days of competition at the 2016 P&G Gymnastics Championships and two days of competition at the Olympic Trials.

USA Gymnastics announces 2016 U.S. Olympic Men's Gymnastics Team
USA Gymnastics today announced the five men who comprise the U.S. Olympic Men's Gymnastics Team that will compete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The team was announced at the conclusion of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials for men’s gymnastics. The three replacement athletes will be named on the morning of June 26.
