EQUESTRIAN: Capt. Mark Phillips to Retire as Eventing Coach in 2012; Search Committee Forming to Find Successor
Lexington, KY – At the conclusion of 2012 the US Eventing Program will undergo a significant change. After 20 years, Capt. Mark Phillips has announced his retirement as Chef d’Equipe and Technical Advisor following the London Olympic Games to "give someone else the opportunity to put their stamp on the program."

SPEEDSKATING: U.S. junior short track skaters hit the ice in Taipei
The next generation of U.S. short track speedskaters took the ice in Chinese Taipei to compete at the 2010 World Junior Short Track Championships. In the first event, all three U.S. men advanced to the quarterfinal races.

SKELETON: U.S. Women Finish Sixth and Seventh in Königssee Skeleton World Cup
KÖNIGSSEE, Germany- The women’s skeleton World Cup competition in Königssee, Germany kicked off the second half of the 2009-2010 season today. U.S. athletes Noelle Pikus-Pace (Orem, Utah) and Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.) finished back-to-back in sixth and seventh place, respectively.

TAEKWONDO: USA Taekwondo Junior World Championship Team Trials/Fight-Off This Weekend at Olympic Training Center
The 2010 Junior World Taekwondo Championship Team will be determined this weekend at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. A total of 75 athletes, ages 13-17, will vie for the 20 spots on the U.S. team that will compete at the World Junior Championships in Tijuana, Mexico, March 6-9.
