EXTERNAL MATTERS

Elite athletes may reach out to the Office of the Athlete Ombuds for cost-free, independent and confidential advice on all sport-related rules, policies and processes, and to assist in the resolution of their concerns and disputes.

Anti-Doping Matters

While anti-doping issues are not under the jurisdiction of a National Governing Body or the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the Office of the Athlete Ombuds is available to offer elite athletes confidential advice regarding anti-doping rules, standards and protocols of the International Federations, World Anti-Doping Agency, U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, or the USOPC.

U.S. Center for SafeSport Matters

While abuse issues that fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Center for SafeSport are not within the purview of an NGB or the USOPC, the Athlete Ombuds is available to offer elite athletes independent advice on how to navigate the Center’s investigation and adjudication process. Please note that the Office of the Athlete Ombuds is subject to all mandatory reporting requirements.
